D5 CO PLAYERS OF THE DAY The Legends Dan Brunner and the Bulldogs Dan Bakke each pitched 9 innings allowing 3 runs on 12 hits as the Legends and Bulldogs played to a 3-3 tie. HONORABLE MENTION THE JETS Tom Garofalo held the Wolverines to 3 as the Jetss handed Wolverines their first loss 6-3. |

| 09/03/2024 | D5 PLAYER OF THE DAY Mike Kuschman of the Lions went 4-4 with 2 RBI and drovr in the winning run in B8, as the Lions game from behind to defeat the Yellow Jackets 10-9. Ziggy and Randy Reed each had 3 hits for the Lions. HONORABLE MENTION Jim Felton of the Hurricanes drove in 6 Runs (3-4 2B) in the Hurricane 13-12 win over the Banana Slugs. Steve Lefebvre drove in the winning run in B7 scoring Dean Stevenson. In the Blue Demons 24-10 win over the Huskies every Blue Demon had at least one hit, RBI, and one run scored. |

Tony had 4 hits including 3 doubles in the Jets 16-14 win over the Blue Demons and accounted for 5 runs (3 scored and 2 RBIs) for his team. Tony had a double in the top of the 7th inning driving in the winning runs in the come from behind victory. HONORABLE MENTIONS Terry Cole had 4 hits, 4 RBIs, and 2 runs scored and Dave Cowern added 4 more hits in the above Jets victory.. Jim Hassett had 4 hits including a double, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBIs in the Yellow Jackets 18-12 victory over the Legends. Neil Schulman had 4 hits and a fine pitching performance in the same game. Jack Miller had 4 RBIs in the Banana Slugs 16-9 victory over the Lions and Harlan Voght had 4 RBIs in the Bulldogs come from behind 15-13 win over the Jayhawks. |

Practices at Saddlebrook this Tuesday and games at Everglades starting on Thursday Games this season will be at 8:30 and 10:00 AM on Tuesdays at Saddlebrook and Thursdays at Everglades. Remember umpires, scorekeepers, and managers are volunteers who help make Division 5 the most enjoyable in The Villages! Please show them your support!
